SOMARO is a Romanian NGO that collects products from various companies and sells them at symbolic, highly discounted prices to low-income customers.
Social Purpose: 
1. Inclusion of people threatened by poverty: Access to food and other products of daily need at highly discounted prices 2. Sustainability and resource efficiency: Reduction of food waste
Social Impact: 
Social Impact: About 1.000 people in need (objective selection with competent partners) can buy products of daily need with a discount of 60-90%. Ongoing qualitative assessment of social impact, quantitative assessment in planning
Innovative Character: 
SOMARO is the first and only social supermarket in Romania; SOMARO is one of the very few working social business in Romania
